I’m Katerina!

I am your Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula as well as the heart and the “Mother” of Daughter of the Water!

Nestled in the serene Appalachian Mountains on the ancestral land of the Cherokee in Western North Carolina, outside of Asheville in the town of Leicester, I am honored to serve mothers and families in our community.

My journey into postpartum care began with a deep-seated passion for supporting mothers and children. However, it was only after becoming a mother myself that I truly understood the profound impact of this work on individuals and society as a whole.

Over the past decade, I have immersed myself in studies and experiences that have enriched my understanding and practice. I am a certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, Placenta Specialist, Infant Massage Instructor, and Mother Support Circle Facilitator. I received my training from esteemed institutions such as the Sacred Birthing Doula School, ProDoula, and the Center for Sacred Window Studies. Currently, I am furthering my studies with Inner Sun & Moon as well as Mother Mammal to deepen my knowledge and skills in Postpartum Ayurvedic Doula care.

In addition to my Doula work, I am also a certified Ayurvedic Counselor with Shakti Ayurveda School, a certified Infant Massage Instructor with IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage), a certified Lactation Counselor, a certified Yoga Teacher for adults and children, and have served as a Girls into Maidens Mentor at Spiritweavers Gathering, as well as Girls’ Empowerment camp instructor with Wildheart Nature School. My dedication to holistic care extends beyond traditional practices; I am a Nature School Educator, a Childcare Provider, and a Fertility Awareness Advocate. Also, I am a Song Weaver, Ceramic Artist, and Jeweler, weaving creativity into my life and practice.

Above all, I am a mother to my precious daughter Lilyana and my four Dachshunds, and partner to my beloved Clay, who all inspire me every day to create a more nurturing world for all. Incredibly grateful for my sweet and supportive family!
